Sculptra Aesthetic® is an injectable product that can beautifully and naturally soften wrinkles and creases of the face. It works by stimulating the body to replace collagen that is lost as we age. It is safe, effective and lasts up to two years. Sculptra Aesthetic® injections are typically performed in a series for best results.

Sculptra Aesthetic® is used to fill in and soften moderate to severe wrinkles and creases of the face.

When you come in for your initial consultation, you will meet with one of our talented and experienced injectors; Jeanne Bernstein RN or Danielle Moser PA-C. Jeanne or Danielle will examine your face and discuss your goals to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure. They will discuss areas that Sculptra Aesthetic® can improve for you and your face as well as discuss the risks, complications and alternatives to the use of fillers. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision as to if Sculptra Aesthetic® is right for you and your desired cosmetic outcomes.

If you choose to have Sculptra Aesthetic® injections, you will return at another time for the procedure. This is because Sculptra Aesthetic® must be reconstituted 48 hours prior to injection.

There is not a lot of preparation needed to undergo Sculptra Aesthetic® injections other than the face we need 48 hour notice in order to properly reconstitute the product. We suggest you discontinue the use of aspirin for a week prior to your injections to minimize bruising at the injection site. These injections can easily be performed on your lunch break with little to no recovery.

Sculptra Aesthetic® injections are performed by one of our experienced injectors. A very small needle is used to inject a specific amount of Sculptra Aesthetic® into the areas of concern. At times numbing medication is applied before your injections or ice may be applied for comfort.

You will not see results from your Sculptra Aesthetic® immediately. It can take a few weeks to months to see your results with Sculptra Aesthetic® because the results are gradual. Your provider may request you massage the area five minutes, five times a day for the first week to ten days after your injections. You may notice some tenderness in the injection areas and at times some small bruises may be seen. These are typically small and can be covered easily with makeup. You may return to your regular routine very quickly after your injections.

Sculptra Aesthetic® injections work safely and effectively to add volume to the face in targeted areas by increasing your body’s own natural collagen. This non-invasive procedure can enhance your cheeks and augment hollow areas of the face. Sculptra Aesthetic® can give you a more youthful and refreshed appearance by restoring lost volume.

Sculptra Aesthetic® injections have both aesthetic and health risks, and it is your personal decision whether the benefits outweigh the risks. Common risks include asymmetry or bruising, tenderness or swelling at the injection site which can last up to two weeks. At times small lumps may be felt and most times are temporary and resolve on their own with a small amount of massage to the area.
