Roughly 15% of our patients travel from out of the Tucson, AZ area to undergo surgery with Dr. Maloney. Most cosmetic surgery procedures including facelifts, eyelid surgery, and breast augmentations can be performed on patients from out of town very smoothly when working closely with our patient coordinators.

The first step if you are looking to have surgery with Dr. Maloney when you live out of town would be to contact our office at 520-298-2230, send us an email information@maloneyplasticsurgery.com or fill out the “virtual consultation” form with photos of the front, side, and oblique (45 degree) views. When Dr. Maloney has the photos in front of him along with some of your basic medical history, he will be able to determine what surgical procedures may work best for you and your desired goals. A “virtual consultation” may be arranged so that you may speak with Dr. Maloney to get your questions answered prior to your arrival in Tucson. After discussing the potential options with both you and Dr. Maloney, our patient coordinator will discuss the surgical fees and options for surgical scheduling with you.

After deciding you want Dr. Maloney to perform your procedure, you will be scheduled for a consultation and pre-operative appointment to meet with Dr. Maloney for an exam and a detailed review of the surgical plan. Our team will be holding surgical time the following day for your procedure which will be arranged prior to your trip to Tucson. The amount of time we will ask you to remain in Tucson is determined by the type of procedure you are having performed. If you are undergoing a facelift, for example, we suggest remaining in Tucson for 10-14 days. There are several hotels in the area and we do have relationships with a couple different certified home health companies that can assist you with transportation to and from the procedure as well as stay with you overnight if required.

Once you return home, we are still here to care for you via phone and the internet. After surgery, you will receive Dr. Maloney’s personal cell phone number which is available to you 24-hours a day. Though uncommon, if you were to have a need to see a surgeon because of a complication once you have returned home, Dr. Maloney and our team will work with other Board Certified Plastic Surgeons near you to assist in your care.
