When you come in for your initial consultation, you will meet with one of our Certified Medical Laser Technicians. We will evaluate the areas where you want hair removed, and work with you to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure. If we determine you are a good candidate, and you like to have the treatment performed, we will schedule your procedure. This procedure is typically not performed the same day as your initial consultation.

Preparing for Laser Hair Removal
Our Certified Medical Laser Technicians will help you prepare for your treatment sessions. We recommend that you avoid sun tanning, spray tanning, and self tanning prior to your treatments. This ensures the laser energy only targets the pigment of the hair follicle and avoid damage to the surrounding tissue. We also ask that you shave the treatment area at least 12-24 hours before your appointment. You should avoid waxing, plucking, or using electrolysis for two weeks before your appointment. We may also recommend that you avoid certain medications, creams, or other products that could interfere with the efficacy of the treatment, such as Accutane and Retin-A. You should arrive at your appointment with clean skin and avoid wearing lotions, moisturizer, oil, deodorant, or any type of tanning product on the treatment area.
How Effective is Forever Bare Laser Hair Removal?
Most people need a series of 4-6 treatments over 4-6 weeks. The timing of these appointments is determined by your hair growth cycle and the area of the body being treated. Staying consistent with your treatments will provide you with optimal results.

Forever Bare Broad Band Light Laser Hair Removal can take anywhere from 5-90 minutes depending on the size of the areas we are treating. Your Certified Medical Laser Technician will protect your eyes with safety glasses or eye shields. She will apply a cool gel to your skin and then use the BBL device to apply energy to the hair follicles at the appropriate wavelength. You will see a flash of light each time the pedal of the BBL is pressed, and laser energy is delivered. This flash is very bright and can be startling to patients the first time. You may feel a hot pinch or slight burning feeling with each treatment. We can use cool compresses after treatment to relieve sensations of heat, pain, or discomfort.
What Should I Expect After Forever Bare Broad Band Light Laser Hair Removal?
After the procedure, you may have redness and swelling surrounding the hair follicles and the treated area may have a slight sunburn feeling. You should avoid excessive exfoliation, swimming pools hot tubs, the gym, or activities that cause excessive perspiration, and scented soaps, deodorants, perfumes, and lotions for 24 hours or until the sensitivity has completely subsided. You should avoid sun exposure for a minimum of 7 days, be sure to wear a 20+ sunscreen and keep the area covered.
