Botox® and Dysport® injections are performed to provide temporary reduction of moderate-to-severe frown lines and other wrinkles on the face. These injectors can provide amazing results when administered at Maloney Plastic Surgery in Tucson. This safe, effective process minimizes fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing specific muscles in the target areas. Dr. Christopher Maloney, Danielle Moser PAC and Jeanne Bernstein RN can all provide botox and dysport injectors with outstanding results.
Fillers are very popular for patients who need correction of the nasolabial folds (the parenthesis around the corners of the nose and mouth). Sculptra Aesthetic® stimulates the natural collagen stores to provide “lift” and restore volume of the face.
A micropeel is a three-step professional-grade exfoliation skin treatment. It reduces the appearance of dull, dry skin, reduces pore size and leaves your face soft, smooth and radiant. A micropeel begins with dermaplaning, a manual exfoliation technique that safely and efficiently removes dead cells from the surface of the skin. The chemical peel resurfaces the face improving hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles as well as the tone and texture of the skin. Cryogenic therapy is then performed, which is an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and “skin polishing” procedure that cools and refreshes the skin. Dr. Maloney's Skin Care Specialist, Cynthia Wood, and Licensed Aesthetician, Vanessa Williams, would be happy to provide the results you're look for with Micropeel.
Using the DiamondTome Crystal Free Skin Resurfacing system, the top layer of skin cells is gently exfoliated in a safe, noninvasive manner. Removing this layer promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells and can improve fine lines, sun damage, scarring and discoloration.Dr. Maloney's Skin Care Specialist, Cynthia Wood, and Licensed Aesthetician, Vanessa Williams, would be happy to provide the results you're look for with Micrdermabrasion.
Microderm Plus is a combination of the Micropeel procedure and Microdermabrasion. Dr. Maloney's Skin Care Specialist, Cynthia Wood, and Licensed Aesthetician, Vanessa Williams, would be happy to provide the results you're look for with Microderm.
The dermasweep begins by removing the superficial layer of skin cells. Specific infusions are used to deliver hydration, peels or serums to the tissues with powerful, beautiful results. Dr. Maloney's Skin Care Specialists, Cynthia Wood LPN, Jeanne Bernstein RN and Licensed Aesthetician, Vanessa Williams, would be happy to provide the results you're look for with Dermasweep.
Superficial Chemical Peels
We offer customized peels targeted to meet your specific needs. These include protocols for anti-aging, pigment control, treatment of acne, skin revitalization and rosacea. There is minimal downtime associated with these peels.
Medium Depth Peels
The 15% - 20% trichloracetic (TCA) acid base peels and the Vitalize Peel provide a deeper peel, resulting in a significant improvement to the health and appearance of your skin. Peeling occurs for 5-7 days post-treatment and full healing takes 7-10 days. This procedure reduces the appearance of wrinkles, sun damage, blemishes, hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
The Rejuvapen utilizes 9 precisely spaced microneedles that create invisible micro-perforations into the epidermis and the top layer of the dermis. As a result, the skin shifts its repair mechanism into high gear by activating cell regeneration allowing collagen and elastin production. These micro-perforations also enhance the absorption of topical skincare products. Fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced, pores become smaller, circulation is stimulated and the overall condition of the skin improves. You might require 3 - 5 treatments depending on condition of skin. Dr. Maloney's Skin Care Specialist, Cynthia Wood, and Licensed Aesthetician, Vanessa Williams, would be happy to provide the results you're look for with Microneedling.

Do I Need Botox® or Fillers?
Many people who start to get wrinkles as they age want to start with a non-invasive dermatological procedure such as Botox® and/ or fillers, but don't know which one they need or where to start. It is important to see a board certified plastic surgeon if you are interested in these injectables. A plastic surgeon can review all the options that are available to you. They can offer you non-invasive options and surgical options whereas a nurse injector or dermatologist cannot.
How do you know if you need Botox®, fillers or both? Botox® is used to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, whereas fillers are used to plump out lines where wrinkles have occurred. Botox® is effective at reducing the fine lines around the eyes, forehead and glabella (between the brows). Using Botox® can also soften the platysma bands of the neck. Botox® is sold per unit, not per area. This is because some patients do require more units than others for optimal results. Botox® is $12/unit in our practice. On average, the cost for the glabella (between the brows) is $210 and $240 for the forehead, crow's feet or platysma bands. Botox® lasts about three months and should be repeated for most effective results.
Fillers do not relax the muscles. Instead, they plump up areas where deeper lines are present. The most common area for fillers is the nasal-labial folds (the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth). In a matter of minutes those lines can be erased, taking years off your face. Injecting fillers into the lips is a popular method for softening the fine lines around the mouth and the lines in the lips themselves. The lips can be filled with very natural results. Many people are afraid of their lips looking too big and "duck like" after having fillers injected. There are many people with too much product or the incorrect product in their lips, causing an unnatural look. Fillers can also be used to enhance the cheekbones and the hollowing under the eyes. The two most popular fillers are Juvaderm® and Radiesse®. Juvaderm® is a soft and malleable product that works great in many different areas. It is the only product soft enough to be injected into the lips. Contact Maloney Plastic Surgery today for a consultation about your skin care and dermatology needs.
